Peter joined RIA in March, 2002, where he is involved in all aspects of the company, with a focus on annuity valuation, analysis of reinsurer’s aggregate risk profile, and making aggrieved calls to the phone company.

Prior to RIA, Peter was most recently with Lincoln National where as Vice President of Pricing and Finance, he was involved in life insurance pricing, product development, and financial matters. Before that, Peter had various roles with CIGNA over a 16-year period, including stints in healthcare, investments, and individual financial services.

Peter graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in mathematics. He lives in Bloomfield, Connecticut with his wife, Ruth Ann Woodley, another actuary in the Ruark pantheon of companies. His three children include a Lafayette College student, a graduating welder, and an accomplished high school freshman/chef.
